Wendy, that’s a great example of how an insecure boss really ruins your work life. You tried to keep a low profile, but your work spoke for itself. Now you need to be very strategic about building relationships with the people who are noticing your work. Again, trust your instincts in keeping those relationship low key, but they are the most likely to create a path out from under your insecure boss…and also the best protection in case your boss gets fed up with the competition and want to fire you.
